November, 19-20 2019 USMOS 2019 Conference

The USMOS 2019 Conference with the main theme of "Modelling and Simulation in the Age of Big Data" was held on 19-20 November 2019 at METU Culture and Congress Center with 542 participants. Following the opening speeches, the invited speaker Prof. Dr. Erdal ÇAYIRCI (DataUniTor Chairman of the Board, Stavanger Norway) gave a speech titled "The Effects and Relationship of Big Data on Military Modeling and Simulation".

November, 21-23 2017 USMOS 2017 Conference

The seventh of the USMOS Conference, which is held every 2 years was held on 21-23 November 2017 with the participation of Prof. Osman Balci, Yb. Federico Perez-Duenas, Prof. Banu Onaral and Assoc. Dr. Kurtuluş İzzetoğlu as invited speakers. The main theme of the conference this year was "'Next Generation Simulation Technologies: Augmented Reality and Serious Games".

June 29, 2016 Dr.Tuncer ÖREN's Speech

Dr.Tuncer ÖREN (University of Ottowa, Canada) gave a speech titled "Evolution of tools and development steps of simulation: From thought experiments to simulation based disciplines" on 29th of June, 2016 between 10.00-12.00 am in MODSIMMER with the participation of representatives from various firms and public institutions.

May 17, 2016 VR, AR and Serious Games Seminar

A seminar was held in order to share the previously obtained know-how during the documentation process of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Serious Games by Modsim Platform. During the seminar, INFOTRON demonstrated a Virtual Reality platform. Many representatives from various companies and governmental institutions were present in the seminar.

March 23, 2016 "Introduction to Modelling and Simulation" Tutorial

An introductory tutorial was conducted by Mr. Mustafa Dinç, MODSIM Division Chief of General Staff. 

November 25, 2015 Serious Games and Image Processing in Rehabilitation Seminar

Dr. Elif Sürer gave a seminar titled "Serious Games and Image Processing in Rehabilitation: Applications developed for Walking Analysis and Cognitive Disorders" on 25th of November, 2015 in MODSIMMER.

November 11-12, 2015 USMOS 2015 Conference

6. National Defense Applications Modeling and Simulation Conference (USMOS 2015) was held on November 11-12, 2015 with approximately 400 participants. Among the invited speakers were  Wim Huiskamp and Prof. Dr. Erdal Çayırcı. Mr. Erdal Çayırcı conducted as well a tutorial titled "Use of Simulation in Planning and Acquisition Experiments". 60 presentations, 46 academic and 14 commercial, took place in 3 parallel sessions. Conference ended with a discussion on "Simulation-based Acquisition".

November 14-15, 2013 NMSG Lecture Series on Serious Games

METU-TAF MODSIMMER hosted “NATO Lecture Series MSG-115 on Serious Games and Their Use in NATO” that was organized by NATO Modeling and Simulation Group (MSG-115) on 14th-15th November 2013. During 2 days, about 60 people from universities, companies and public corporations participated this lecture series which was given by the experts on serious games.
